Course Description
Designed for experienced rescue personnel, this advanced 16-hour course challenges students with complex motor vehicle extrication and disentanglement scenarios involving passenger and commercial vehicles.
Students will perform advanced stabilization, lifting, moving, access, and disentanglement operations using hydraulic, pneumatic, electric, and specialized rescue equipment. Practical evolutions may include vehicles positioned on their sides or roofs, vehicles resting on other objects, and incidents requiring coordinated multi-point lifting and movement. The course emphasizes technical problem-solving, patient-centered rescue operations, team coordination, and the safe management of complex extrication incidents.
